Our track athletes traveled to West Ridge High School in Blountville, Tennessee this past weekend to take on some of the toughest programs from NC, Tennessee and Virginia. The
Maroon Devils had some outstanding performances, with the girls team finishing 2nd overall among the 47 schools in attendance. Nse Uffort was named field MVP with wins in both shot put and discus. Arizona Blankenship brought home the crown in the 1600 and 3200 while breaking her own school record in the 3200.
The girls 4x800 of Arizona Blankenship, Annie Lewis, Angelina Lomeli and Emily Grey Stargell also set a new school record while running the 3rd fastest time in NC this season. We are now on to the postseason with the SMC Championship at Cherokee on Wednesday!
