To assure optimal student performance in school, vision, hearing, and dental screenings are conducted. 

Vision Screenings 

Mass vision screens are conducted for 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades.  Vision is also screened based on referral by teachers or parents.  If a student is found to be outside the acceptable range for a screening, a letter will be sent home with the results of the screening and any recommendations for followup. 

Hearing Screenings

Hearing screens are conducted based on referral by teachers or parents.  If a student is found to be outside the acceptable range for a screening, a letter will be sent home with the results of the screening and any recommendations for followup.

Dental Screenings
Smile NC Mobile Dentists.  This programs require parent/guardian permission in order for students to participate.  Permission slips will be sent home with students prior to event. 

Students will be screened if permission is granted on Online Registration at the beginning of the school year. Reply 'Yes' if you would like your child to be screened.
