In Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Savannah, and Ms. Heidi's classroom at Bright Adventures Pre-K, students are exploring different cultures and cuisines! Today, they enjoyed the story Hot Pot Night! by Vincent Chen. After reading, they had fun playing a Hot Pot game, making pretend food for their friends. Then, they got to experience their very own Hot Pot, using chopsticks to eat their noodles! The students loved this hands-on cultural experience! A big thank you to Iron Wok for generously donating chopsticks for each child to use! 🥢✨

Due to temperatures and continued icy conditions that are impacting side roads and driveways, Swain County Schools will not have school for students on January 14, 2025, and it will be an optional teacher workday for staff. These conditions are not only hindering bus transportation, but are also limiting the number of staff able to travel safely. Thank you for your understanding.
